The Grateful Libra Party
The Riverside presents an evening of mouthwatering food, reggae music, and the music of Jerry Garcia/the Grateful Dead that you will not want to miss. (Reserve your seat here)
We start with a rare, multi-course culinary experience at an exceptional value at $50 per person! This traditional Persian dinner feast prepared by The Riverside’s lead chef, Ben Powell (birthday Oct. 4th), and Ed Jabari (birthday Oct. 3rd) and his daughters, will delight you with delicious and comforting flavors originating from the Caspian Sea area of Iran. Please note that dinner reservations are limited and must be made by September 30th.
Following the feast, doors will be open to the public for a Reggae and Dead dance party on Boulder’s best (and only) Creekside patio. The Riverside’s delicious food options, like South African savory hand pies, seasonal salads, salmon bowls, and Columbian smoothies, will be available for purchase and the bar will be open until closing.
From 7 – 9 pm, RASMOSES AND THE EXODUS BAND, an all-star alliance of musicians who have backed the likes of Burning Spear and Yellowman, will get our feet moving and heart vibes overflowing! BONUS: On Sunday (October 6th, starting at 4:20), RasMoses and The Exodus Band will be producing and headlining the First Annual Reggae on Da Creek, right here at The Riverside! (more information on Reggae on Da Creek here)
Starting at 9 and going until 11 pm (or later) in the Agora Ballroom, Colorado’s own DAVE ABEAR’S A VERY JERRY BAND will bring us the soul-soothing grooves of Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead. HINT: If you are seeing Dave’s friends and collaborators, Peak2Peak at the St. Julien, just walk two blocks on over to The Riverside right after, to take your night to another level!
Edward Jabari has been a long-time supporter of Boulder’s music and arts scene, through his past collaborations with Moja Magic Studios, The Secret Garden, the Koi Temple, and many others. Now he is stewarding events and catalyzing a vision of amazing music, food, and community at The Riverside. Ed recently completed his first book (a memoir), Once And for All Mankind – Vol.1: My Rock & Roll Dream, which will first be released on his birthday and first available for purchase at this event.
Ruled by Venus, typical Libra traits are: peaceful and balanced, social, romantic, diplomatic, creative, and having great aesthetics. Please join us for this special Libra celebration and dance party, and get your tickets early, as we expect a full house!
